HOPPERS:
Another in the 'nuisance' pest category are young grass hoppers. Usually the young
green juveniles referred to as Hoppers.
They enjoy just nipping the growing tops of leaves and stems. They don't do anything more harmful to your tree than make it look unsightly and grow irregularly in shape. Again an appropriate contact or systemic insecticide will do the trick. Hoppers have a particular liking to Junipers but can be seen on some lush growing Thujas.
